Late last year, some welcome changes to the standard form contract used when buying or selling residential property came into effect. This contract is the one used by most real estate agents and is often referred to as the ADLS Form (Auckland District Law Society).

Lowndes is pleased to announce that Greg France has joined us as a Senior Associate in our Corporate / Commercial Team. Greg has recently moved back to Auckland after 8 years in London, where he worked at King & Wood Mallesons, a leading international law firm, and as in-house counsel at GlaxoSmithKline. Greg started his career at the Intellectual Property Office of New Zealand and was an advisor to the New Zealand government on business law and policy before moving into private practice at leading New Zealand law firms.
Allan McRae (Partner, Lowndes) introduced the four speakers: Marcia Rick Dawood, Board Member of the Angel Capital Association (United States), Raiyo Nariman, Founding VC of the Malaysian Business Angel Network, (Malaysia), Jayesh Parekh, Managing Partner at Jungle Ventures (Singapore) and Allan May, Vice Chairman of the Angel Resource Institute (United States). The discussion was opened with questions from the audience to the panel.

The 13th year of the Business Intelligence Series continued with the third seminar in the 2015 series on 19 August on a topic hot on everyone’s lips at the moment: Inside the Bubble : Issues for Auckland’s residential property.

Lowndes has recruited Jennifer Tunna as a Senior Associate in our Banking and Finance team. Jennifer is a specialist in insolvency and restructuring law and previously spent 7 years with Chapman Tripp. Prior to that, she worked in in London at (now) Dentons. Jennifer was admitted to the bar in August 2003.
